Sandlewood Manor: The best photo spots

Ok, so you’ve booked Sandlewood Manor as your dream day venue… But where are all of the best spots for wedding photos?! After attending a styled shoot, I can confidently give you some pointers for your special day!

  1.  The Vintage, Brown Library – This space works exceedingly well for photos. The vintage browns offer a moody, romanticized vibe in contrast to the white of a wedding gown. The photos featured below were accomplished with natural day light and no flash during midday sun.
  2. Outside Balcony (FRONT) – Have your bride and bridesmaids step out for some flattering photos on the balcony! (This is a great time to grab some candids of the group walking, interacting, and maybe have the girls line up against the railing and have your second shooter gather some shots from below!) Unfortunately, these were taken during a styled shoot and the space below the balcony was being used for another section of the shoot, but we got some great shots nonetheless! The shade provided by the upper portion of the balcony allows for natural light photography. These were captured with no flash and broad daylight.
  3. The Foyer (with Piano) – These shots are KILLER! Have your bride lay/lean against the piano and the groom off to the side. Have her sit down and the groom above her. Play with posing and hands/feet. Move them around. This is another space that allows wondrously for soft, natural light. Even in broad daylight, the windows diffuse the light well. These photos were taken without flash.

If any brides are looking for weddings in this venue and you’ve been inspired by these photos, please email me here. I’d love to chat with you!
